If intense play takes place away say for a weekend or week then there is no need for context switching. The experience can be totally immersive. The chance to really live and embody the things that have been discussed.
Space afterwards for processing, particularly if thoughts/feelings are not really known at the time (during the immersion).
Doesn’t become singular focus/ all consuming and being a distraction from the rest of vanilla life.
Allows for lighter interactions and play between intense times, more structured and predictable.
Lengths of intense play can be varied according to availability.
This format works even when not living locally to each other. Gives a focal point and something to look forward to… particularly ringfenced time away together.
If it works well.. could experiment with longer periods of higher intensity/ intense play depending on circumstances and what is going to be explored during that time i.e. weeks or more.
